The Place to put Picture Comments...

Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell a Friend Next Entry

Well, I'm still working on uploading all my pics into a gallery containing all my Potter-verse renders. It's a WiP obviously, but some of the galleries ARE done.

And I LOVE comments on my pictures, BUT... I can't figure out how to incorporate it with the gallery - not without using some readymade gallery-package and they're all in PHP and I know absolutely NOTHING about that.

So at least for now, I'm making this entry with the feeble hope that someone would like to actually throw a comment here.

IF you choose to do so, and it's not just a generic "I love all your pictures" ;o) entry, please mention the title of the image so I know what you're referring to.

Gallery? Pictures? HERE is the link to it,

Oh and just to mention the obvious once again:
PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST PICTURES ARE NOT WORKSAFE! PLEASE OBSERVE THE RATING ON THE PICTURES BEFORE CLICKING THEM IN ENVIRONMENTS WHERE WATCHING SUCH MATERIAL CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS!

  • The Tea Series! *squee* Gods I loved that series.

But the Nocturne pics: so damn beautiful and just so perfectly illustrated. Nocturne 9, where Severus goes all feral and Harry has to toss him off the bed, and the feedings (3 & 7) omg so good. Nocturne 2 is just the epitome of Harry's shock when he sees Snape in the cell after killing the real rogue and no, I swear, i haven't read that story like a thousand times or anything.

*flips back through the galleries so she can see the rest*

I love the image for Flawed Lines. that was such a lovely story and the Aqua Fresca one! *dies* I've already commented on the Cold Comfort ones and really, I'm going to stop fangirling now and go back to drool.
    • You know, when I read the Tea Series, I felt like it was more "real" than Deadly Hallows. I keep mixing the two storylines up in my head, partially because they both have some of the story taking place in Harry's Mind. I can't help wondering (seriously!) if JKR has read it, too. It's clear from a lot of her writings that she does read fanfiction. I'm not sure about how much she likes the idea of slash but I would be surprised if she hadn't at least glanced at it. Anything else would be weird.

But with Tira Nog's Nocturne I'm counting the pages every time I read it (I usually print stories to read them anywhere, and Nocturne is literally read to shreds *L*) because I DON'T. WANT. IT. TO. END! So if you've read the story a thousand times, I've read it a thousand and one ;o)
And the day before yesterday I found a story of hers that I hadn't read. And sat up until 3:20 in the morning just READING it. (Whispers of Intent)

So... on a different note: You've got Poser? Or Daz Studio?

Feel free to email me again if you want to discuss 3D. I have a zillion links to a lot of free stuff and such :o))
      • I've got DAZ, but I have a good bit of Poser content that I got at Renderosity. I may just take you up on that, and if you don't mind, I'll pick your brain, because there are a few things that are currently confusing the hell out of me.

Oh Whispers is gooooood. Her site is bookmarked, and whenever I want a good read, I just head there. Or Delta and Toy's site, or gods... so many good writers about. Gonna go start dinner before the mad crew gets home, but I might email you later.
        • Oh DO pick my brain all you want :) Seriously!

Mmm yes DementorDelta is another of my absolute favourites! The Dreaming Spires.... *GUH* (and I've made pics for that, too, but as a commission so I can't just post them)

At the moment I'm reading Rushlight's The Pendulum of Choice. That thing keeps me up until far too late!
  • I've just see your gallery.....
I don't like very much your young Snape, but i don't know why.
About all other picture/render : I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!
Your Snarry(s) are absolutely fantastic! (and yours 'not worksafe' are really hot!!!!!!)

if I have to mark your work....(from 1 to 10)
i give you 9 1/2: one can always do better!

    (sorry for my english)
  • Hey Luv,

I was wondering if you might be willing to contribute to the Headmaster Gallery that Snapecast is putting up. We're planning to reveal it in October, but will continue to add any artwork we get as it comes in. We just thought a spectacular trekkiegrrrl wizard portrait of Headmaster Snape would be a fabulous addition to have.
    • Oooh interesting.

Should it be a moving portrait? (I've made one of Snape but I'm not all that satisfied with it though)

I'll definitely participate! More details, please!
      • Yes, a moving portrait would be exactly what we're looking for. We've invited listeners to submit Headmaster portraits of Snape, (since we didn't see him getting one in the DH), which we will hang in a special Headmaster Gallery. There are no other particular restrictions - you'll just need to e-mail us the file, which we'll then upload to the Snapecast website.
  • Hi Trekkigrrrl! I remember seeing you before in various HP fandom places (I like Snarry too XD) but I didn't realise how many common interests we had until I stumbled over your blog today.

I'm new to the Trek fandom, but my father-in-law got me into watching them just before he passed away recently. I also do 3D art/modeling, though being poor, I have only a very old version of Poser that refuses to work and DazStudio, so I use those mostly.

I also harbor a huge craving for the Ball Joint Dolls, and hope to save up for one someday. The good models always cost so much! But they're so beautiful, when I can afford one I'm sure it will be worth the wait :) And your beautiful Sev-doll pics only make me this much more certain! Actually, I think that's where I first saw you - art entry in the Snarry games? Maybe? o_O

Lastly, Japanese and Bento! I've always dreamed of making bentos for my hubby and myself. It's tricky, as he's one of the world's pickiest eaters and we're on a cheap-foods-only budget, and so many of the common tools have to be shipped from Japan or we'd have to travel to a major city that has more selection of items. But hopefully soon we'll have some bento boxes and I can start experimenting :) I love looking at your bento pictures and descriptions, they help inspire me and give me a lot of ideas - but also a LOT of questions! If you're not too busy, maybe you'd be willing to answer some of them? T_T

I'm trying to learn Japanese, but I'm a little hindered by memory loss; an accident some years back make it hard to remember new things, but constant repetition helps. Practice! :)

I also have to add, I think working on a train is probably one of the coolest jobs ever. Before I married, I dated long distance and travelled by train so often, the conductors all knew me by name and joked that the only aisle I'd walk down on my wedding day would be the train aisle!

So, rambling-ness aside, I'd wonder if you'd like to be friended and possibly correspond? My name is Ellie, nice to meet you :)

    • O.o This is almost spooky. It's like you were my lost twin or something :o)

(I already have a Lost Twin in Spain and I'd love to have another!)

It's really amazing how much we have in common. Of course I'll friend you and please feel free to write me. I think my email adress is visible in my profile. If not, I really mean it. You can email me at trekkie (at) trekkiegrrrl (dot ) dk.

My own Star Trek'ism is on partial hiatus at the moment, I am a (currently non-paying) member of a local Star Trek club but my work and general Real Life prohibits me to take place in the meetings at present.

I still love Star Trek though. I'm mostly into TNG, because that was the first Star Trek I saw, and to me, that became the "REAL" Star Trek. All others are spin-offs (and The Original Series are just generally too toe-curling to watch. Interesting from a historical point of view, but... so badly made, if you use today's standards) interestingly enough I think most of the TNG episodes still work. There are some episodes where you cringe at the "cardboard sets" but all in all I think they still work.

Anyway.. We can ramble on in more private conversations if you like? Also, do you use any kind of messenger program? Like MSN, AIM, ICQ or the like?
