Aaaaand ... another doll! Introducing... HERMIONE GRANGER

Previous Entry Add to Memories Tell a Friend Next Entry
OK first of all.. WHY Hermione of all people? Well.. Mostly because I wanted a girl-doll I could sew girly stuff for. And I thought I might as well stick to the Potterverse... and then... Hermione is, all things considered, the most tolerable girl in that pantheon. (unfortunately, that's not saying much)

The arrival:

The box

The box with a box

Severus, can't you please get it open so we can see what's inside?

Snape: ALOHOMORA!

Snape:Great. Now we've got us a new duvet.

Harry:It's not a duvet, you git. It's a mummy!
Snape: Oh lovely! Mummies are great in potions.

Dina:You two are crazy. It's a girl, it is!
Hermione*cough* Oh thanks for getting me out of that. I couldn't breathe!

Dressed and wigged, Hermione stands up to look at her new surroundings
Harry:Wow Hermione! Is that you? What did you do to your face?!

Snape:Don't worry, Harry. She'll be fine soon.
Harry: Hermione, can we still be friends eventhough I called you a mummy?
Hermione: Hello Dina, do you want to be my new best friend? ???
Dina: Well as long as you realize I am the cutest girl here...

And then, today, I gave her some faceup which made her a lot more "alive" - next step is to sew her some robes and stuff. And luckily my summer hols starts on Monday...

Pics are taken outdoor in evening sun - but in the shade.

Oh and her hair is more brown IRL, it matches her eyebrows better than the pics may make it appear...
  • ou do have a new obsession!
She is really lovely, and I love S & H overseeing her unpacking.
    • I so have *L* I thought I had expensive addictions/obsessions before with Poser and my bento stuff.. but this beats everything, hands down!

It's a lot of fun though. I never played with dolls as a kid, I guess I'm catching up with all that I've missed, now *LOL*
  • someone is soooo lost for Poser there in Denmark:-)
The make up works very well, compliments on that.

mmmm, when will we see a Draco doll?
would be the cream on the cake.
    • Heh Believe me, I'm LOOKING for a Draco! When I fiund the perfect Draco I may well buy it (if I can afford it by then) - but I'm also looking for a Lucius - plus I really need a body for Snape so Sevvie can get his body back - I've also found the perfect body for Snape, I just need some more money first.

And.. I've found a PERFECT Snivellus-doll that I MUST buy at some point, too...

Obsession doesn't even begin to cover this *L* It's worse that Poser ever was.

On the plus side, I'm getting more and more of an urge to render again! I've always taken longer or shorter breaks from Poser.. this is one of the longer ones, but I have far from abandoned it (ask Antonio, he's testing my latest scene - an army barracks ;) )
  • She is very lovely :-) Can't wait to see what you make for her!

(But I wonder why not Luna, eh? Way more tolerable! *loves Luna*)
    • I can't quite decide what I think of Luna to be honest (and anyway, Little Kid's Dina is an OK stand-in for Luna...) I like some parts of Luna while other things about her simply creeps me out. Then again, demented/weird/insane people (in the clinical sense) has always done that - as a kid, the older, demented relatives scared the shit out of me, and when my bestest friend (my father's first wife btw) lost her marbles due to excessive cancer... well one day she was as normal as she ever was ;) and the next day she could barely recognize me.. *shudder* I don't do "odd" people well...
      • True, Dina is an okay stand-in.

I don't do well with dementia, either, but I love Luna. She isn't mad, it's an outlook. At least that's how I see it. One I admire her for, even. Anyway, feelings are different about these things :-)
        • I guess Luna is like me in many ways. The way she couldn't care less about what other people thought about her. That's me in primary school (at least the lower grades) - I remember a long period where I went to school with silver-painted, glass-less sunglasses (the frames only in other words) because I was so envious of people who had REAL glasses. I think that was around 3rd or 4th grade... Of course a lot of other pupils mocked me, but.. I just couldn't care. I had my glasses! (and my own classmates were astonishingly overbearing with my whims and tantrums, now that I think about it...)
          • You're fortunate, like that. Luna is kind of me - but she's even more me as I wish I had been. I cared deeply what people thought of me, and they tended to dislike me, mock me and do mean things to me. So I truly admire her and people like her for being themselves like that.
  • Hey, get yourself a werewolf doll so it can eat Haemorrhoine er- I mean Hermione and have hot sex with Snape! /giddy Lýsa

Can you bring it so we can drop it from 12th? *sniggers evilly*
    • *blinks* DROP $365 from the 12th? NOT bloody likely!

If it was the real, live Hermione otoh...

And I needed a Doll that would allow Snape to be unrestrained nasty! No hidden feelings here for sure! She's a MUDBLOOD after all. Besides, I like her mold. And she does't REALLY look like Hermione except for the fugly wig (which of course is bought specifically for her)

A Lupin is on my wishlist. I've found a body for Snape that matches his base resin colour almost 100% so I guess that'll be my next purchase (whenever I'm able to scrape enough money together...) and after that I've seen the PERFECT Snivellus doll! He just IS Snivellus! I MUST have that doll!

And then... there's a lovely Johnny Depp lookalike (not a minimee, this one is far cuter than the JD Minimee...) - andI also need a Lucius (still need to find a suitable mold for him) and eventually a Draco... And Lupin of course. And I guess a Ron, just to keep the brats complete...

GAAAAH I so need to win the lottery bigtime! *is slightly obsessed*
      • Ah, if you *promise* Snapey will be very mean to her, it's all right. Maybe we can dangle her a little? :D Just as a precautionary measure?

Mmmm, Lupin! And Lucius! You really need to work overtime from now on and until Christmas.

Slightly? Slightly??? *swats* Oh, and when, when, when are you coming down here? *huggles*
        • Well as you know my holiday starts next Monday. And I haven't got anything planned (at least not except for "doing NOTHING") for those 4 weeks, so I will definitely find time to bother you!

Dunno when exactly. Big Kid has got a boyfriend in Copenhagen now (he just left today after having stayed here since Saturday... They were intertwined like amourous octopi most of the time.. O.o) But I suspect she'll NEEEEEED to visit him soon, and then I might as well swat two flies in one go and take her with me to Fredericia... So.. I'll let you know when her urges to be near him are getting too much to bear!

*note to self: Call doc about pills...*
          • Yay! I have work some days, but let's see if it can't just fit anyway.

Pills sound like a brill idea. Like... now!
            • Brilliant idea as of.. like... a week ago! O.o

I have asked on previous occasions and was told that "of course he's using something".... so this time I didn't... and just kept my fingers crossed. I'm not gonna be a grandma just yet!

(and I'm going to ask her one of the next days exacly HOW certain she is that "nothing happened" - thing is you need to catch her in the right mood, or she'll close off completely and just not answer to anything)

Let me know which days you're working (approximately) and I'll find something that suits all :) (heh and I need to get an inflatable matress, too.. I felt like the princess on the pea... *GG* - not your fault of course - I'll need one for overnight guests anyway since the last one punctured in god knows how many places L*)
              • Oh, that is... risky. But better safe and all that. Far too early to become a grandma.
I am the proud owner of a small sofa that is sleep-able, if not very wide, like maybe 65 cm. You can bring all the inflatables you want, but it isn't necessarily necessary.

I work this weekend and the next again, as far as I know. There might be a few other days, depending on how things are at work. And Thursday next.
  • Hmm, I'd actually say Luna is the most tolerable female in HP. But she's very pretty.
  • I really couldn't imagine why would you need a girl doll but their comments worth it :D Nice faceup! Quite cute and looks intelligent enough (I must admit...) :D
I expect some scenes of jealousy (misunderstanding, of course) *g*
    • Heheheh yeah well a girl is rather out of place in my personal Potter-universe. I grant you that! And as I wrote in my excuse for getting her at all, it IS mostly because I wanted a girl-doll that could sew frilly things for *L*

I picked Hermione, not just on a whim, but because she's a mud Muggleborn and as such would be most likely to wear all sorts of Muggle clothes if I wanted her to :)

And rest assured. Should I EVER do anything with Snape/Hermione it would all turn out to be a misunderstanding! (and involve lots of proper Hot ButtSexxx afterwards *GG*)
