OK I can't even promise to stop soon with the doll pics. Because I'm having all too much fun with Sevvie.

Last night, it snowed again *GAH just as you thought spring was coming!* so this morning, I made him a pair of (fingerless) gloves, a scarf and a hat so he could go out and play in the snow.

Later on I decided to make the pics appear like they were taken some time in his childhood. So ... yeaah well.. nuff with the talk, onto the pic:


Don't laugh. I never managed to make snowmen any bigger than this, when I was a kid either. And look: a 1/3 scale carrot! *L*

    Aw, lovely pics :-) I'd heard you got a lot of snow on your side of the country - here there's barely a dusting left.

      Yeah we got quite a shower last night. But I still had to search and find a place that had spent most of the day in the shadow, in order to get these pics *L* It's about all that's left, now. I can't quite decide if I'm sad or pleased that it's melting so fast...

      And it always amuses me when the weather can be so totally different in just a few miles way... I mean it's such a tiny country and yet so many types of weather at the same time :)

        *nods* Same here a few days ago when we had a big snowfall. I can't really decide if it's good or sad either. I like getting snow, but it's strange getting it this late when the rest of the winter has been so warm.

    Love his gloves! And the belt! His robe (or cloak) seems quite warm.
    But in my imagination a hood suits him better than a cap. Would make him so misterious :D (My friend has a hood not attached to her coat but she can put in on his head and fix it around her neck like a scarf.)

      Hm now there's an idea. I just slapped this hat together so he wouldn't catch a cold *LOL*

      Eventually, I do plan to make him a cloak with a hood. I've got the pattern but I need money so I can go buy some nice heavy fabric for it. It's one of the things that won't work, made out of preexisting clothes :)

      *regressing* seems to imply that I had been past that stage earlier, right? ;o)

      *shrugs* I just think it's silly to "grow up" to a degree where you won't allow yourself to play. I hope that won't ever happen to me :)

      And the doll is all my kid's fault, really. She was the one who got one first...

      Hehe the gloves were stitched together in like 5 minutes from a pair of stockings... And the belt is the leftover ankle-bit from a pair of sandals that broke beyond repair *LOL*

      Bits and bobs and verious scraps. I think that's why I love this new hobby :) Finally I have an excuse for never throwing anything out *giggle*

    I think it's absolutely brilliant that you can be a grown up and still go play in the snow with your dolls. Even if these dolls are not exactly children's dolls and the games are slightly different these days. I had a blast rolling around in the snow with Even on one of the rare snowy days here. Even if Even can't pose properly and I hate snow. *chuckles*
